Burn ban in effect for Hood County

There has been no significant rain in Lipan Country for over 5 weeks. Hood County is now under a "burn ban" until further notice. No fireworks will be allowed for the July 4th period. The 10 day forecast on Weather.com for zip code 76462 is high 90's with low percentage chance of rain.

The Internet Hay Exchange links to the U.S. Drought Monitor site as of June 6th. It shows what we already know, WE NEED RAIN!
